Well, over two years later...those trees have finally become our dining room table!!
These are a couple of photos of Aaron and his dad cutting the boards. They built a makeshift chainsaw mill to make the logs into these thick boards. It took so, so, so long.
The chainsaw broke often and it was just a very tedious process for so many reasons. But one of the amazing things about these men is their patience. They didn't let it bother them at all...just kept moving forward, just happy in the simplicity and challenge of doing man things together.
Ana White was all, "It's just a little, baby weekend project for meeeeeee."
Ana White is the worst. (In that Supermom kind of way.)
But, as usual, Aaron went above and beyond what I had envisioned. I probably shouldn't even be surprised anymore when he creates things like this!
and make memories around the new table!
